Launch of Snex® packaging line at SIAL 2014 
 
During the upcoming SIAL, which will take place from 19 until 23 October 2014 in Paris, we will introduce our new Snex® brand to the market. The introduction of the brand signals the official launch of a new range, ovenable vegetable snacks. The new Snex® packaging line will contain the previously introduced, award-winning Fingerfoodballs® snacks. It comes in 5 colourful packagings of 1 kilogram. The new look on the outside underlines the improved product on the inside. Besides an improvement in taste and appearance, the vegetable balls have been made ovenable. The Snex are available at all Sligro and Hanos stores in the Netherlands. 
Furthermore, we will introduce a new winnovation in the frozen mushroom segment, solving a problem many pizza makers struggle with. Mushrooms are among the most popular toppings for pizzas. However, as mushrooms consist of about 90% water, baking a pizza topped with lots of mushrooms leads to watery pizzas. Super-dry mushrooms represent the solution for this problem. They contain less water and give advantages in taste, drip loss (15% less water released) and volume (35% more slices per kg). The time of pizzas packed with delicious mushrooms has arrived! 
 
Lastly, visitors will get the chance to taste Scelta’s world famous Ecopouch mushroom soup. Our shelf stable mushrooms in Ecopouch without additives have a fresh taste and texture, making them an ideal ingredient for e.g. soups, sauces, pizzas and ready meals. Available in various flavours; Worcestershire sauce, garlic, curry, soy sauce, sesame...the possibilities are endless! Both our snacks and mushrooms in Ecopouch have been selected by the jury for the SIAL Innovation 2014.
